29 dec 2009• Radio Tees Interview on 30 december 2009 On 30 december 2009, Ajay will be interviewed live on Radio Tees (along with Rob from the brilliant band “Shrug”) between 8pm and 10pm. We will be talking about the Death To Trad Rock scene from the 80s (both “Shrug” and “Dandelion Adventure” – Ajay’s band in England – are featured in John Robb’s fab “Death To Trad Rock” book which came out this year to critical acclaim), and we will be playing new tracks from “The Bent Moustache” and “Shrug”, and talking about our forthcoming gig in Middlesbrough on Monday 10 January 2010. So tune in, and hear great banter and fine tunes to warm your winter heart. |

18 dec 2009• Merry Xmas the new 7 inch single will be distributed in the UK by Forte Distribution in the New Year, in time to tie in with our UK tour. Perfect timing. Also, Saturday 23 January 2010 is a date to put in your diaries as we will play our first Dutch show of the year at the opening of “De Groote Weiver”, with “The Ex” and “De Kift”. “De Groote Weiver” in Krommenie was our old squat venue/bar, and was closed down 4 years ago. After much hard work by many people, a new location for DGW was found and after alot of building and painting, we finally have our beloved DGW back. 22 and 23 January are the dates for the big opening. |

10 nov 2009• 7 inch single on Friday 13 November 2009 we will be presenting our new 7 inch single to the world. Featuring 2 songs, “counterinsurgencylifestylejunkies” and “Loyalty Scheme”, the single will be released on our own Wormer Bros. label. “counterinsurgencylifestylejunkies” features Johannes v/d Weert (Rondos / The Ex) on vocals. A sharp acerbic examination of the new loadsa money generation who know no crisis backed by a punk as fuck soundtrack that recalls the might and magic of PIL, Gang Of Four, Crass and Aphex Twin all rolled into one song! “Loyalty Scheme” is a live favourite in the TBM canon and has made it to vinyl! It features Guggy (Seabear) on violin. An aural autopsy of the grotesque lives lead by the white sneaker brigade and the all talk but no action would be subversives. Icelandic employers are not excused. Think The Fall sharing a pint with The Albion Band. |

29 June 2009bubba….stop yr bleating and a-hollerin’. I’m working on a remix for Waumiss (pronounced Waumiss)…..they hail from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Its a version of “Nightingale” from their last album. My version sounds like Augustus Pablo fell into bed with Ligeti and gave birth to My Bloody Valentine. But recorded on cassette. check out >> weblog page for Animal Collective tour diary and soul-stealing photies. |

8 jan 2009• happy new year everyone We hope you all had a fine xmas break and are not whining about this so called bleedin’ recession. One present per person is enough, just like in the good old days. We will be writing new songs the coming weeks for our next album. Gotta get organised about that, but we are all ready to start some hard work on this. Ideas coursing through our veins and brains. We will do some shows in Iceland in February for sure, playing with some fine bands over there. Will also be looking to do some european shows in the spring as well. The blog is up and running again, so feel free to check that out. And the band’s top 10 of 2008 will be up there as well in the next day or so. Keep warm and feel free to write to us about……anything. Freedom for Palestine! |
